Huge companies with lots of trucks, tools, workers and buildings will have to be higher priced than smaller companies like mine just to stay in business.
Just be sure to choose someone that does work to code/ pulls permits and has the required licence and insurance to protect your home as a future investment.

Estimate over the phone/ Email with pictures to determine what’s needed and in person visit if things seem like they will work out.
Some projects are so common place I can give a ballpark price right away over the phone. Contingent on unknown or forgotten issues surrounding the project.
More complicated projects or ones very close to my home/ current job site may warrant an in person consultation/ estimate

See which of your top picks is available to do the work in your needed time frame. Which ones respond and communicate efficiently when asking questions about your projects. Which give you your scope of work, estimate and work schedule in a timely manor.
If you choose me and we are a good fit to work together we will set up a flexible schedule that works for you.
We can set it up to work around your work schedule or work while you're at work so it's done when you get back.
If it’s a larger multi day project we can set it up to work steadily until completion or break it into phases and stop and go as needed until it’s done.
